Handmade Halloween (Throwing It Together)

I am not a Halloween person.  But I married into a full-fledged trick-or-treat loving spooky haunted festive family.  I am also not one to be out done. Over the years I've pulled out quite the creativity to make sure we represent well at the fright night gathering.  And now I'm kind of addicted to thinking up themed costumes for us to all where together.  Keeping a tiny budget in mind, and having no shame in using a hot-glue gun,  our Halloween costumes almost always come from a combination of the thrift store  or back of someone's closet. Here are a few of my favorites...

2007-Popeye, Olive Oyl, and Swee' Pea.
We raided the Army Navy Surplus store for the Popeye costume,
and Grandma's closet for the collar.
Don't forget a pair of big floppy boots for Olive Oyl!
2008-A Penguin Family
The Penguin from Batman fame,
An adorable little baby penguin,
Chilly Willy
2009-BLT's
2010-Dr. Seuss's Star-Bellied Sneetches
and Sylvester McMonkey McBean
(This one is my #1 favorite!)
2013-Circus Family
Strong Man, Ringmaster, Stunt Man,
elephant, tiger, and lion in a circus wagon

Which one of these is your favorite?
